I remember Marie from our summers at the KofC pool. I can still picture her up on the sun deck.

I echo Tom's sentiments and can only hope that all of her sadness has been replaced with joy.

God Bless and Keep You Marie.

I Did Not Know Marie Very Well. She Seemed Like a Sweet Outgoing Person. I Am So Glad That I Was Not Among My "sweet" fellow classmates that made fun of the poor girl. I don't know if all of that abuse had anything to do with her demise, but I certainly hope not. I Believe That She Was Hit on Graduation Day When Someone's Thrown Graduation Cap Happened to Hit Her in the Face and Injured Her Seriously. HER Graduation Experience Ruined.

All of the Wonderful Comments That You Make About Each Other 30 Years Later Will Not Make Up for The Past Abuse That Certain Unhappy Youths Inflicted Upon Each Other. I Just Hope and Pray That the Future Generation i.e. Your Children and Grandchildren Learn More Tolerance and Respect for Those of Us and I Mean ALL of US Who Were Different THEN and Are Different TODAY.

And Yes, I Know, That I Will Be Rebukked and Talked About for Making Such a REAL Statement, but I Don't Expect Anything Different. I've Always Spoken My Mind. I Hope At Least I Can Be Respected for My Honesty, If Nothing Else.

If These Comments Do Not Apply to You, Please Do Not Be Offended. There are a Lot of Wonderful Souls in the Class of 1980.

God Bless You All and Have a Wonderful Time at the Reunion. Take Care of Each Other. We Are All That We Have.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE ALWAYS THOUGHT HER TO ME A NICE SWEET GIRL, SHE ALWAYS RESPECTED ME AND I ALWAYS RESPECTED HER. I REALLY DON'T LIKE PEOPLE THAT ARE ON THIS EARTH TO ABUSE OTHERS.

I'm really having a hard time with this. When I moved here from New York Marie was first person that I met. It saddens me to know that she has passed away. My heart goes out to her family. This really hit home for me..WOW

I am very saddened to hear of Marie's passing. She was a wonderful person even though there were those who picked on her. I remember the day of graduation when the cap fell on her face. She was destroit of the matter. Praying for the family.

I got in touch with Marie's sister Barbara...it was so sad to hear of her passing. I don't think her life was ever that easy for her, and my heart always broke to see her struggle.
I am happy to share that she did get married, and it's comforting to know that she was very much loved and in a special relationship with a man. May she rest in peace.

Janine, thank you for the update. I was very happy to hear that she had gotten married and had found happiness at last even if for a short while May God's angels continue to watch over her and protect her and her family.

Maria,

The few times we spoke, you were always so sweet. I didn't really know you, but I hope that you are happy and at peace. :)

I did not know Marie at all. I am saddened to hear of any and all of my classmates that have passed on before their time.

My wish is that Marie's close friends will post here to celebrate and enlighten. This is a much finer thing to do than dwell on high school bitterness.
