From an email from Linda Falcone Gretta: "Hello Classmates, I received some very sad news today. Our classmate, Brian Marx, passed away several weeks ago. Brian and I work together and we reunited as work friends a few years ago. He was to get married a few weeks ago. I was waiting to hear back from him and meet for coffee as we usually do. I hadn't heard from him in a while and and just heard from his co-worker that he died one day before his wedding. I'm very sad to hear this. I didn't know Brian very well in school, but he and I grew to be good friends in the past few years. He was a very funny and warm person. I will miss him very much."
Brian passed away in the Spring of 2010. He and I reunited at work after having not seen each other since high school. He always checked in with me every few weeks and we'd meet in the coffee lounge. We'd say "let's catch up for a few minutes" and spend an hour or more talking and laughing. It was the highlight of my work world. We'd talk about the old times and he was very open about what was going on in his present life. Since we had both been divorced, we talked about our funny dating stories and finally meeting the right one. He got engaged less than a year ago and this March was to be his wedding. He was really happy and everything was going right for him. I hadn't heard from him for a few weeks after he should have returned from his Honeymoon, which wasn't like him. I knew he'd want to give me the lowdown. I work in a large corporation and hadn't run into him, I called and emailed, but didn't hear back. I started to worry this past week. I called his manager yesterday and learned that he died from a heart attack one day before his wedding.
I'm still reeling from this news..... Brian was a smart, funny, successful and very insightful man. He would always give me a hug after we talked and it was such a warm comfort knowing I had a good friend who I could always call to share a laugh. I miss him very much. I consider myself lucky to have known such a good, pure soul. Rest in peace my friend. We will meet again someday.............Linda

This is so sad to hear the passing of Brian. What a funny guy! He sat next to me in Accounting and we had a great year. Everyday is a gift! RIP Brian.
